Most BRAVIA Full HD LCD features Motionflow; either 200Hz, 100Hz or 100Hz Pro (with additional 'noise' reduction).
Standard TV pictures are broadcast in 50Hz or 50 image frames per second. When viewed on a large screen, fast action can appear jerky and blurred at this frame rate.
But with Motionflow, the sharpness of each frame is boosted by Image Blur Reduction before its contents are analysed and ‘in between’ frames are added between it and the next frame. With Motionflow 100Hz one frame is added (so 50 frames per second becomes 100) and Motionflow 200Hz adds three (so 50 frames per second becomes 200).
It’s complex technology but the result is simple. With Motionflow, movement has more detail and clarity, for the smoothest picture ever.
