Walk into any Sony Centre store or Sony Australia office, and you’ll find collection units inviting staff and consumers to recycle a wide variety of battery types including those from computers, mobile phones, handheld electronics, sound systems and other devices.

These batteries are then collected, transported and recycled in a safe, environmentally responsible and compliant matter. Valuable materials such as cadmium, nickel, iron, cobalt and lead are reclaimed, and these are then reused as raw materials for industry.

The Sony battery recycling program operates in association with SITA Environmental Solutions and Landcare Australia.
