| The HDR-CX7E records video footage on Memory Stick media — up to around 2 hours and 55 minutes of HD video in the AVC HD 5M (LP) high-definition mode (8GB Memory Stick media) or around 1 hour in the AVC HD 15M (XP) mode (8GB Memory Stick media). Conventional MPEG2-PS is also supported, allowing SD video recording. Thanks to the nature of non-linear media, you don’t have to worry about over-writing recorded footage: new data is automatically written on your choice of Memory Stick media. Moreover, you can immediately watch or erase newly recorded footage without rewinding. Just press the desired thumbnail on the touch panel LCD. |

Archiving your original HD or SD footage is extremely easy when using One Touch Disc Burn. To quickly burn discs on a PC connected by USB cable to your HDR-CX7E, simply press the button on the bundled Handycam Station. Disc burning is possible also by direct insertion of Memory Stick media into the PC’s Memory Stick slot and clicking the on-screen button with one touch.
This intelligent function only burns new footage shot since the last disc was burned with this function. If you choose to record discs in the AVCHD format, you can play back HD-quality movies on PLAYSTATION®3 as well as Blu-ray players and recorders. |

| You can also transfer content from Memory Stick media to the HDD of a connected PC* via Easy PC Backup, either by directly inserting the media into PC slot or via USB cable. This function conveniently only transfers files recorded since your last backup with this function. Using the Write-back (AVCHD) function of supplied Picture Motion Browser software, you can later export footage** back to the Memory Stick media inserted within HDR-CX7E for easy playback on your HD or SD TV. |

| Attach the Memory Stick Duo ExpressCard Adaptor*2 and the HDR-CX7E delivers the world’s fastest data transfer rate via Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. This enhancement allows large amounts of data up to several gigabytes to be quickly transferred, as well as the real-time recording of high-resolution video and still images. Use ExpressCard Adaptor MSAC-EX1 with Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo, for example, and get ready for transfer of approx. 1 hour of AVCHD content in a blazing 2 minutes (approx.) *3.
