| Install bundled Picture Motion Browser software on your PC to enjoy all sorts of handy features. You can import video footage from your Handycam® camcorder and DVDs, as well as burn DVD videos and AVCHD format discs. Easy management of movies and still images is yours thanks to automatic organisation by calendar view or folder. Thumbnails make searching and browsing a cinch. An editing feature lets you trim off unwanted segments of your movies. And you can convert your movie files to common MPEG2 (SD) video and audio formats for easy sharing and playback on other AV equipment. |

This utility opens a window on the screen of your PC* once you connect the Handycam Station bundled with HDR-CX7E to your PC via USB cable or insert Memory Stick media into the Memory Stick slot on your PC. Icons on the streamlined interface let you select one of four operations — Easy PC Back-up, Media File Import, One Touch Disc Burn, or Playlist Disc Creation — with a single click. If you select Easy PC Back-up, for example, options then appear to let you define the destination folder and the range of files to copy from the camcorder to your PC. Within that range, the utility only copies files that have not previously been copied to your PC.

Once you’ve burned a DVD of your HD home movie in AVCHD format, you can enjoy watching it on your PC*. Just insert the disc in your PC, launch the bundled Player for AVCHD software, and click a thumbnail. The movie will play back at high resolution and will cover the entire PC screen.

| This bundled utility lets you copy AVCHD format discs and DVD discs. When making copies of AVCHD format discs on DVD discs, you can choose to convert AVCHD to a DVD video format that can be played on DVD players. |

Note:
• Even in a computer environment where the operations are guaranteed, frames may be dropped from movies, resulting in uneven playback. However, imported images and images on discs created subsequently will not be affected.
• Operations are not guaranteed, even on computers fulfilling the above system requirements.
• Picture Motion Browser does not support 5.1ch surround sound reproduction. The sound is reproduced in 2ch sound.
Some computers do not support 8cm discs (such as DVD+R DL (double-layered)).
• If you use a Notebook PC, connect it to the AC Adaptor as the power source.
Otherwise, the software will not work properly due to the power saving function of the PC.
• The supplied software does not support Macintosh computers. |
