Sydney, 30 April 2015 – Sony today announced an extensive line-up of new home audio products with high-resolution, multi-room and expanded music streaming capabilities. Providing unprecedented access to music throughout the home, the new sound bars, wireless speakers, and audio/video receivers enable music fans to easily listen to the tunes they want, wherever they are. By developing unique audio technologies, Sony has designed these products to reproduce master quality recordings just as the artist originally intended, while also supporting 4K content. They are all equipped with DSEE HX technology, allowing streamed sources which are not in Hi-Res quality to be upscaled to a higher sound quality.

“Imagine stepping into your home and being greeted by your favourite music being streamed seamlessly throughout every room. With a touch of a button, you can access a world of music options and control all the connected speakers within in your home,” said Abel Makhraz, Head of Video, Sound & Tablet, Sony Australia & New Zealand.

Enhanced Music Listening Environment
The new range of home audio products will offer Google Cast and Spotify Connect[1], providing consumers a greater selection of music outside of their personal library. The new Google Cast platform allows you to control music directly from the apps you already know and love, like Deezer and Google Play Music. Simply tap the cast button and select speakers to get started. Furthermore, with the dedicated Sony app SongPal, you can do a one-time set-up and intuitively control your speakers through its drag and drop interface.

These new products feature Sony’s exclusive LDAC technology that intelligently optimises wireless transmission to enjoy uninterrupted pristine audio. Stability is further enhanced with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), which provides a more secure signal path with less interference, ensuring rock-solid playback of music streaming services.
