Dual Anti-dust system

All DSLR owners have to contend with the risk of dust particles contaminating the sensor when they’re changing lenses. So a Dual Anti-Dust System is employed in the α range to reduce the risk of blurry marks spoiling your photographs.

The first component is an anti-static coating on the low pass filter that repels dust, making it easier to remove particles from inside the camera with a blower. The second is a high-speed sensor vibration mechanism that shakes off any particles every time the camera is switched off.

Intelligent Preview

Exclusive to the α900, Intelligent Preview allows you to take a sample image then experiment with the Dynamic Range Optimizer, exposure compensation and white balance settings, and see the results on the 3.0” Xtra Fine LCD screen before actually taking each picture.

This is particularly useful when you want to fine-tune adjustments in advance, when working with a tripod or with a complex shooting set-up.
