The body of VAIO Z Series looks and feels solid – and for good reason. The one-piece milled aluminium palm rest is actually carved out of a thick slab of aluminium to balance structural integrity with portability. The top cover uses a specially developed hybrid carbon material to also balance strength and lightness. And stringent Quality Assurance tests are applied to ensure usability in a variety of situations.

VAIO Z Series is a prime example of how incredible performance can be made irresistibly beautiful. The prominent cylindrical hinge is not only present, it is actually part of the same milled piece as the aluminium palm rest, contributing to its durability.
