The built-in flash on an α (alpha) Digital SLR camera does not work - it will not fire.
This issue could be caused due to the selected flash setting, or if the built-in flash is closed. For the flash to fire, it should first be pulled open into the upright position. Additionally, if the Flash mode is set to Autoflash
, the flash may not fire if the camera determines there is already enough light to create a proper exposure. Set the Flash mode to Fill-flash
to force the flash to fire every time you take a picture.
