How to reset the TV to ENERGY RATING qualified settings without performing a Factory data reset

Please follow the settings below.

  1. Make sure to disable Retail mode settings.
    1. Press the HOME button on the remote.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Retail mode settings in the System Preference.
    4. Set to Off for both Demo Mode and Picture Reset Mode.

  2. Adjust Picture related settings.
    IMPORTANT: Picture related settings are saved for each input (e.g. HDMI1, HDMI2). To reset for all inputs, please follow the same steps for each input.
    1. Press the ACTION MENU button on the remote.
    2. Select Picture in the Display & Sound category.
    3. Select Picture mode and set to Standard.
    4. Select Advanced settings and select Reset.

  3. Turn off the Light sensor.
    1. Press the ACTION MENU button on the remote.
    2. Select Picture in the Display & Sound category.
    3. Select Light sensor and set to Off.

  4. Reset the sound settings.
    1. Press the ACTION MENU button on the remote.
    2. Select Sound in the Display & Sound category.
    3. Select Advanced settings and select Reset.

NOTE: To ensure that the TV is reset to ENERGY RATING qualified settings, Sony recommends to perform Factory data reset by following these steps:

  1. Press the HOME button on the remote.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Storage & reset in the TV category.
  4. Select Factory data reset.
  5. Select Erase everything.
