Notice to Owners of Sony PAL-Format DVD Camcorders

Sony has recently learned that its PAL-format DVD camcorders "DCRDVD100" and "DCRDVD200" may exhibit a problem where sound data recorded with those camcorders may result in distortion or noise.

Although Sony has confirmed that this problem will only occur under certain usage, to reassure our customers, Sony would like to offer a free inspection and repair service to customers of the PAL-format "DCRDVD100" and "DCRDVD200" camcorders.

Sony NTSC-Format DVD Camcorders (DCRDVD100/DCRDVD200/DCRDVD300) are free from this problem. Sony sincerely regrets any inconvenience that may affect customers and will make the utmost effort to prevent this type of incident from happening again.
