

Television, Video Cassette Recorder, DVD player/Recorder (HDMI), DVD player/Blu-ray Disc player (Component)
The below diagram shows the most common connections for your configuration. For each connection type, a colour is used to make the diagram easier to understand. More information on connection types can be found here. Choose your preferred type of connection or quality level from the diagram below, but remember that when using component connection (indicated by the blue colour) you also need to connect an RCA Stereo Cable, or a Digital Coaxial cable, or an Optical cable to your television set or AV receiver to output sound, as component cable does not transmit sound.

Connections
To Use
on your television remote
on your television remote (please refer to your television manual to know which one of your television's AV input is dedicated to HDMI)
on your Television remote, the Video Cassette Recorder signal will be fed through your DVD player / Recorder when it is in standby mode. Alternatively, if your Television and Video Cassette Recorder are equipped with 2 SCART connections, you can add a SCART cable between your Video Cassette Recorder and Television, providing direct playback capability of your Video Cassette Recorder even when your DVD player / Recorder is on
on your television remote (please refer to your television manual to know which one of your television's AV input is dedicated to Component)
