How to transfer video from a Memory Stick PRO Duo™ camcorder

 

  1. Turn on the computer.
  2. With the camcorder turned off, connect it to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
  3. Ensure the camcorder is connected to the AC power adapter and that it is plugged to the power supply.

    NOTES: The battery pack can be used, but it should be fully charged before use.
  4. Open the LCD screen on the camcorder.
  5. Turn on the camcorder.
  6. On the LCD screen, touch the COMPUTER icon.

    NOTES: If this is the first time the camcorder has been connected to the computer, the computer should automatically install the appropriate USB driver at this time. 
  7. Transfer the video to the computer using one of the following methods:
    • Picture Motion Browser software


    • Copy and paste the video files from the Removable Disk window that represents the camcorder.
      • On the computer desktop, create a new folder.
      • If the Removable Disc window is not showing, open the My Computer window and then click to select the Removable Disk icon.
      • In the Removable Disk window, click to select all the folders and files listed.
      • On the keyboard, press the CTRL+C keys to copy the folders and files.
      • Open the new folder that you created.
      • In the new folder, press the CTRL+V keys on the keyboard to paste the folders and files into the new folder.
      • Rename the new folder.
