I bought this soundbar 6 months ago, as both my wife and I wear hearing aids and have to use subtitles on TV. The soundbar make the words much clearer for us, and different settings on remote.

Basic table top sound bar. Simple to connect, but even though we were fitting Sony soundbar to a Sony tv getting the settings right took a bit of fiddling. On good point, once it up and running you can put the remote in a drawer as the tv remotes handles everything automatically.

I bought this to work with a 75" LG TV which had terrible built-in speakers, and the Sony soundbar works great! Install was easy and no issues, and really helps out with the sound via the TV. I also use it for Blue Tooth audio via my phone, and once again, no issues and delivers good audio. For the price, I couldn't be happier.

Purchased two weeks ago. My heart sank when I saw the instructions….there were so many and I had little idea what they meant! BUT once all the correct cables plugged in - an arc hdmi is a must, the TV and sound box did their thing and connected to each other, without me doing anything. All I had to do was tell it to focus on voices, I don’t even need the remote controller as the TV one is now connected, as if by magic. So very happy, deaf ish hubby very happy, hopefully it will last a good 10 yrs, sound quality is great.

Does all I need it to do—great product —easily paired with Snoy Bravia TV

Almost one month using it, excellent sound for small house watching movies.

Used with my rewards for $40 off. I was able to set this up without extra support or other help. The sound is good enough for me, better than built in TV speakers, not as good as a major home system.

I bought this around 2 months back and I love it very much and working perfectly fine.

I'm very happy with the product, but not satisfied with the customer experience at the place where I bought it.

I purchased the Sony HT-S100F soundbar on 7th Dec 2025 from AEON Mid-Valley to upgrade the audio system of my LG TV 50UQ7550, after persuaded by the sales person that according to him this Sony Soundbar is more value for money compared to a demo set LG soundbar that I'm considering for. Due to space limitation, I prefer a 1 piece soundbar vs the one with a sub-woofer separately. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this Sony HT-S100F after almost 1 month of using. The setup was straightforward. I connected it to my TV using the provided optical (audio fiber) cable, and it worked instantly. The Bluetooth feature is also handy for streaming music from my phone. This is where the soundbar shines for its price. The clarity in the mid and high ranges is excellent. Dialogues in TV shows and news are clearer than my TV's built-in speakers, and vocal-heavy music sounds crisp and detailed. It's a significant upgrade for everyday viewing and casual listening. The one noticeable trade-off is the lack of deep bass. While action movies and bass-heavy music are clearer, they don't have that powerful, rumbling low-end. If you're a serious movie buff craving a cinematic "punch," this might not be sufficient on its own. Also, note that when both the TV and soundbar are active, you can get an echo effect. My simple solution is to just mute the TV's speakers, letting the soundbar handle all the audio, which works perfectly. For the price, the Sony HT-S100F is an outstanding value. It solves the core problem of muddy TV audio with fantastic clarity and is incredibly easy to use. If your priority is crystal-clear dialogue, enhanced vocals, and a tidy upgrade without breaking the bank, this is a fantastic choice. Just temper your expectations for room-shaking bass.

Sound quality is poor especially human voice. Bass is also very poor.

Have been using it for 4 months. mmmm and still not 100% happy. 50% of the time the sound from the sound bar doesn’t always sync with the tv. Turning the tv and sound bar off and on again usually fixes the problem, but it happens many times when the tv/ soundbar don’t sync. Disappointing TV, Soundbar, HDMI all Sony?

This sound bar is a huge upgrade to standard to sound. Sure it costs more that cheap ones but you absolutely get what you pay for here. I have no regrets about this purchase.
