The Android TV™ is not being detected as a Chromecast built-in (Google Cast) device or the Android TV is detected but the connection fails.

Each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check to see if the issue is resolved after completing each step.

    1. Make sure that your device and the TV are connected to the same home network.
    2. Make sure the Google Cast Receiver or Chromecast built-in app is not disabled in Android TV™.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. Select Apps.
      4. Select Google Cast Receiver or Chromecast built-in.
      5. Set it to Enable.
    3. Clear data on Cast function apps, Android System WebView and Chromecast built-in.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. Select Apps.
      4. Select Cast function apps.
      5. Select Clear data, then select OK.
        NOTES:
    4. Reset the TV and the mobile device.

      • For mobile device, temporarily turn off the mobile device, and wait approximately one minute before turning it back on.
    5. Update the TV to the latest software.

    6. Use the following procedure to uninstall updates for Android System WebView and Chromecast built-in.
      After uninstalling the updates, reset the TV and update these two apps to the latest version.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. Select Apps.
      4. Select Android System WebView.
      5. Select Uninstall updates, then Select OK.
      6. Press the BACK button on the remote control to return to the Apps screen.
      7. Select Chromecast built-in.
      8. Select Uninstall updates, then Select OK.
      9. After uninstalling the updates, reset the TV.
      10. Update the two apps above to the latest version from the Google Play store.
    7. From My Apps in the Google Play Store app, update all of the apps installed in the TV to the latest version.
    8. Make sure that your device and the TV have the correct time settings.

    9. Terminate the Chromecast-enabled (Google Cast-enabled) app on the mobile device, and restart it.
      NOTE: For details on how to terminate and restart apps, refer to the instructions manual of your mobile device.
    10. Restart the wireless router. (Unplug the router, and wait approximately one minute before reconnecting the power.)
