I cannot download, install or update any applications from the Google Play Store.

Applicable Products and Categories of This Article

・Applications cannot be installed from Google Play, Install pending... is shown on their icon in HOME menu.

・The Server error message appears and I cannot access the Google Play Store.

  1. Check the available storage space.
    To download an application, the available storage space is required to be larger than the application size to be installed. 
     
    • For Android™ 7.0 (Nougat) or later
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. Select Storage & reset in the TV category.
      4. Select Internal shared storage in the Device storage category.
      5. Select Available.
         
    • For Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Storage & reset in the TV category.
      4. Select Storage.
      5. Select Available.
         
    NOTE: If you download an application when the storage is full, the Server error message appears and you will become unable to access the Google Play Store.
     
  2. When there is not sufficient available storage space, uninstall unnecessary applications.
    NOTE: When an application is uninstalled, the all data related to the application is also erased.
     
    1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
    2. Select  Settings.
    3. Select Apps in the TV category.
    4. Select an application to uninstall from downloaded apps.
    5. Select Uninstall.
    6. Select OK
       
    If the measures above do not solve the problem, follow the instructions below.
     
  3. Reset the TV.

  4. Please cancel all downloading and Installing apps.
    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select Google Play Store in the Apps.
    3. Select My Apps.
    4. Select Downloading....
    5. Open the application icon.
    6. Select CANCEL INSTALL or select the stop icon.
       
  5. Please perform the Clear Data and Clear Cache for Google Play services.
    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select  Settings.
    3. Select Apps in the TV category.
    4. Select Google Play services in the System app category.
    5. Select Clear data then OK, and on the screen that is displayed, select CLEAR ALL DATA then OK.
    6. Select Clear cache then OK.

NOTE: You cannot install restricted applications when the Parental controls have been set.
Check the settings by performing the following procedure.
Home -> Apps -> Google Play Store -> Settings -> Parental controls Settings
