I cannot connect a device to XAV-AX100 even though the device is compatible with Apple CarPlay or has the Android Auto application.

Applicable Products and Categories of This Article

For Apple CarPlay
There is a possibility that the setting does not allow the device to connect to Apple CarPlay.
Check the following setting for permission.

1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap General.
3. Set Restrictions > CarPlay > Disable Restrictions to on. The icon on the right turns green.

For Android
There is a possibility that the setting of the installed Android Auto application does not allow Android Auto connections.
Check the following settings.

1. Start the Android Auto application, and then select Settings from the menu on the upper left.
2. Select Connected cars.
・Set Add new cars to Android Auto > Settings > On.
・If the device is included in the Rejected cars list, delete the device from the list.
