While playing a MIDI file on line (Internet), it contains noises
When you playback a MIDI file on line (Internet), it contains noises or the sound is distorted.
If QuickTime 2.0 or 3.0 is installed, this symptom occurs. There are two methods to prevent this symptom.
1) Uninstall QuickTime. When you reinstall QuickTime, on the QuickTime Plugin Options window, clear the "Netscape Navigator or Communicator" and "Microsoft Internet Explorer" check boxes.
If Navin'You 3.0 is installed in your computer, Setup.exe of QuickTime is stored in the following location of the Product Recovery CD-ROM Vol.2 of 2:
Q:\Vaio\Applications\Navin' You\Quick Time3\Setup.exe
2) Set QuickTime not to use as a standard MIDI decoder.
[Procedure]
1.Click the Start button, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the Multimedia icon.
2. In Multimedia Properties, click the Audio tab.
3. In Playback section, in the "Preferred device" list, click YAMAHA SXG Driver, and then click [OK].
