    You may refer to the procedure below for the settings on the sharing of modem using with Home Networking Wizard.

    !! Attention !!
    Make sure that the network is constructed properly before you operate networking setting.

    1. Settings for the side on the host computer. (The one that is attached to the modem.)
    (1) Click [Start] -> [Programs] -> [Accessories] -> [Communications] -> [Home Networking Wizard].
    (2) Click [Next] when [Welcome to the Home Networking Wizard] appears.
    (3) When the [Setup options] window appears, click the [Yes, I want to edit my Home networking settings on this computer.] option button, and click [Next].
    ****Go to the next step if [Setup options] does not appear. The display may be different depending on the PC setting.*****
    (4) Select [Yes, this computer uses the following.] -> [A direct connection to my ISP using with the following device.], and select the device from the pull down list. Click [Next].
    (5) Click [Yes] when the [Internet Connection Sharing] window appears. Select the device from the pull down list and click [Next].
    (6) Select [Yes, connect to the Internet automatically.] in the [Establishing Internet connection] window if you want to automatically connect to the Internet. Type your name, password, and confirm password in each box. (The name and password here is the one you use for Internet connection.)
    If you want to connect to your ISP before other computer does so, choose [No, I will enter my user name and password etc.]. Click [Next].
    (7) In the [Computer and workgroup names] window, type the computer name in the [Computer name] text box. Workgroup names identify a group of computers on your home network. If you do not set up any workgroup name with other computers, select [Use the default workgroup name MSHOME] and click [Next].
    If you set up this workgroup name with other computers, select [Use this workgroup name] and type in the workgroup name. Click [Next].
    (Check the computer name or workgroup name with the network administrator.)
    (8) Click [Next] in the [Share files and printers] window.
    (9) Select [No, do not create a Home Networking Setup disk] in the [Home Networking Setup disk] window. Click [Next].
    (10) Click [Finish] in the [Completing the Home Networking wizard] window.
    (11) Click [Yes] when the [You must restart the machine for the changes to take effect. Would you like to restart now?] message appears.
    (12) When the [Congratulations! Home Networking is set up on this computer.] message appears after your machine has restarted, click [OK].

    The settings for the side of the host computer is completed.

    2. Setting for the side on theclient computer.
    (1) Click [Start] -> [Programs] -> [Accessories] -> [Communications] -> [Home Networking Wizard].
    (2) Click [Next] when [Welcome to the Home Networking Wizard] appears
    (3) When the [Setup options] window appears, click the [Yes, I want to edit my Home networking settings on this computer.] option button, and click [Next].
    ****Go to the next step if [Setup options] does not appear. The display may be different depending on the PC setting.*****
    (4) Select [Yes, this computer uses the following] and [A connection to another computer on my home network etc.], and click [Next].
    (5) In the [Computer and workgroup names] window, type the computer name in the [Computer name] text box. Workgroup names identify a group of computers on your home network. If you do not set up any workgroup name with other computers, select [Use the default workgroup name MSHOME] and click [Next].
    If you set up this workgroup name with other computers, select [Use this workgroup name] and type in the workgroup name. Click [Next].
    (Check the computer name or workgroup name with the network administrator.)
    (6) Click [Next] in the [Share files and printers] window.
    (7) Select [No, do not create a Home Networking Setup disk] in the [Home Networking Setup disk] window. Click [Next].
    (8) Click [Finish] in the [Completing the Home Networking wizard] window.
    (9) Click [Yes] when a message of [You must restart the machine for the changes to take effect. Would you like to restart now?] appears.
    (10) When the [Congratulations! Home Networking is set up on this computer.] message appears after your machine has restarted, click [OK].

    The settings for the side of the client computer is completed.

    You can connect to the Internet by double-clicking the [Internet Explorer] icon on the desktop after you have ensured that the host computer is set as an automatically connection or already connected to Internet.
