On the liquid crystal display of my VAIO computer, the belt-like or box-like noises appear momentarily or the images on the display are distorted or they remain as afterimages sometimes in the following occasions.

    - Right after turning on the computer or at the time when the "Windows" log appears
    - Immediately before the appearance of the Windows desktop
    - At the time when the system moves to the standby mode (system suspend) or resumes from that mode
    - At the time when the system enters into the hibernation state or resumes from that mode

The symptom occurs due to the change of resolution done by the graphics accelerator. It has nothing to do with a problem of the machine.

The momentary appearance of noise comes from the switching of resolution done by the graphics accelerator, which is not a fault of the unit. You may use your computer as it is.
