How do the user install/uninstall a modem driver on a VAIO with Windows® 2000 preinstalled?
To uninstall the modem driver, please refer to the following procedure:
1. Right-click My Computer and click Properties.
2. Click Hardware tab and click Device Manager
3. Double-click Modems, right-click on Conexant-Ambit SoftK56 Data, Fax ICH Modem and click Uninstall.
4. Click OK.
To install the modem driver, please refer to the following procedure:
1. Upon restarting the computer, the modem will be detected by Windows and Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard window will be displayed.
2. Insert the 2nd disk of the Recovery CD and click Next.
3. Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) option and click Next.
4. Select CD-ROM drives option and click Next.
5. Click Next and click Finish.
