My TV remote control doesn’t charge, or its charging LED doesn’t turn on

IMPORTANT: This article only applies to specific products. Please check the Applicable Products of this article.

    Please check the following:

    1. Ensure you charge the remote control using the included USB Type-C® cable.
    2. Check that the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to the USB AC adapter or computer, and that the USB AC adapter is firmly plugged into the AC outlet.
    3. Confirm that the computer is turned on. If the computer is in standby (sleep) or hibernation mode, wake it up.
    4. If the remote control has not been used for a long time, it may fail to charge due to over-discharge.
If you can’t charge the remote due to over-discharge, please contact Sony support.

    Notes:

    • Not all remote controls operate the same, and the type of remote control may vary depending on the region and model.
    • Rechargeable remote controls come with their own charging cable.
    • If the remote is fully charged, the charging LED will not turn on.
    • It is recommended to charge the remote in an environment with an ambient temperature between 15 °C and 35 °C (59 °F and 95 °F). Charging efficiency may decrease outside this range.
    • When storing the remote for extended periods, charge the battery once every 6 months to prevent over-discharge.
