Accessibility Shortcut

• The default setting of the Accessibility shortcut function is set to a screen reading function, such as Screen reader (recommended) or TalkBack.
• The Accessibility shortcut function is not available during the initial setup.
• Depending on the model, when you use the Accessibility shortcut function for the first time, a dialog box will appear.
  • For models released in 2020:  The TV will read the title of the dialog: Use Accessibility shortcut? Then, the TV will read the focused button: TURN OFF SHORTCUT. Press the Right arrow button so that the TV will read TURN ON SHORTCUT. By pressing the Enter button, the Screen reader function is assigned to the shortcut function.
  • For models released before 2020: A dialog box will appear to confirm the use of the Accessibility shortcut function. However, this dialog box cannot be recognized by Screen reader. When this happens, please get assistance from a sighted person to select the USE SHORTCUT option.
• For eARC supported models, when the Screen reader is activated, eARC mode will be Off.

1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
2. Select Settings and press the Enter button.
3. For Android 9 only: Press the Down arrow button to select Device Preferences, and press the Enter button.
4. Press the Down arrow button to select Accessibility, and press the Enter button.
5. Press the Down arrow button to select Accessibility shortcut, and press the Enter button.
6. Press the Down arrow button to select Shortcut service, and press the Enter button.
7. Select your preferred shortcut and press the Enter button.
8. Select OK and press the Enter button.

Instead of starting from the setting menu, you can turn the desired shortcut on or off by pressing and holding the MUTING or MUTE button on the TV remote control until you hear a response sound (more than five seconds). 

To switch the desired shortcut off and on again, press and hold the MUTING or MUTE button until you hear a response sound (more than five seconds).
