This guide helps resolve issues when connecting a TV to an Audio/Video device via HDMI. If you're using an analog cable (composite or component), refer to the article on fixing "No Picture" issues. Make sure your TV has the latest system software, available on your model's support page.
Steps to Troubleshoot HDMI Connection Issues:

- Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input. Use the
(Input select) button on your remote to cycle through inputs until the correct one is displayed.

For Google TV™ and Android TV™ Models:
- Clear the data and cache from the ExternalinputServices app and re-establish the HDMI connection:
- Turn off all devices and disconnect the HDMI cables.
- Go to Settings via the Quick Settings or HOME button.
- If the remote control has a Quick Settings (

) button, press the Quick Settings button and select
Settings.
- If the remote control does not have a Quick Settings (

) button, press the HOME button and select
Settings.

- Depending on your TV type, navigate to
- Select Apps → See all apps → Show System apps → ExternalinputServices → Clear data and Clear cache → OK.
- Select Apps → System apps → ExternalinputServices → Clear data and Clear cache → OK.
- Select Apps → See all apps → Show System apps → ExternalinputServices → Clear data and Clear cache → OK.
- Restart the TV and reconnect the HDMI cables securely.
- Test the connection by switching to the HDMI input.

- Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable, ensuring a firm connection.
- Power off all devices, reconnect HDMI cables, and turn them back on.
- If using an audio system between the TV and the source device, ensure the input settings match.

- Confirm the connected device is set to output via HDMI and that the video format is compatible with the TV.
- Some devices may output a video signal (1080/24p or 1080/30p) that your TV may not support. Try changing the video output format on the device.

Connection Through A/V Receiver:
- If connected through an A/V receiver, try connecting directly to the TV's HDMI input to bypass potential signal issues with the receiver.

- Unplug them for 30 seconds, then plug them back in and turn them on.

Try a Different HDMI Cable:
- Use a High-Speed HDMI cable with the "HDMI" logo for 1080p quality.
