Dear Valued Customer,
Sony has recently become aware of a very limited number of BRAVIA LCD TVs experiencing a loss of power caused by a specific component issue within the TV. In a couple of these cases there have been reports of a smell or smoke, however Sony is confident that any damage would be contained within the TV. The impacted models are KDL-60W850B and KDL-70W850B (but only within a restricted serial number range). These models were available for purchase in Australia from February 2014.

- Customers with the affected TVs are requested to contact Sony. Please contact us either by phone 1300 13 SONY (7669) or email Sony_SupportPS.firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively go to our Contact Us Page.
- The affected part will be replaced without charge upon evaluation of your existing set.
Important: If you own one of the products mentioned and notice any abnormality as mentioned previously (smell or smoke) please stop using the TV, turn it off immediately, unplug the power cable, and contact us straight away.
