The noise canceling effect is weaker after updating the headphones' software

The Adaptive Sound Control setting may have been activated automatically after the software was update.
If the noise canceling effect seems to have become weaker, use the Sony | Sound Connect app to check the Adaptive Sound Control and Ambient Sound Control settings.

    1. Turn off the Adaptive Sound Control.
      1. Open the Sony | Sound Connect app, and tap the right arrow next to Adaptive Sound Control.
      2. Tap the slide bar to set Adaptive Sound Control to Off.
    2. Set the Noise Canceling or adjust the Ambient Sound Control manually
Note: The menu items may vary depending on the model.
      1. Open the Sony | Sound Connect app, and select right arrow icon at the right side of the Ambient Sound Control menu.
      2. Select Noise Canceling or select Ambient Sound. If you select Ambient Sound, move the slide bar to change the Ambient Sound Control level.

Hint: Adaptive Sound Control is a function that can detect four patterns of behavior (Staying/Walking/Running/Transport) using the acceleration sensor of your smartphone and automatically switch between Noise Canceling and Ambient Sound Control modes based on the setting for each behavior pattern.
