We are highly satisfied with our Oled TV and dvd player

A pleasure to own such a high quality piece of tech.

Picture quality is superb. Brightness can be a challenge depending on how bright the room is. I was able to adjust brightness and its OK for an OLED. The sound & loudness is good over all and can be adjusted to your needs. Screen casting works flawlessly on this A90k and picture quality remains solid. It is also a very fast while browsing apps or changing channels. Bottom line: This TV needs darker rooms or space to perform its colors and to be enjoyed.

Great TV for PS5 and watching movies. Would definitely recommend product.

This is the third Sony I have bought. This one is for the bedroom and is by far the best picture of the 3, very pleased with my purchase

Replaced a previous Sony. For , it can record to a memory stick via a second tuner,compact for the size of the screen. Against , no text option, no Uktv play App and it is expensive compared to other similar smart televisions.

Finally bought our 48" OLED tv and love it. No idea how people have larger sets as this is us maxed out. Great picture, sound and functionality.

I purchased this TV from a well known store. Mega pleased with it, looks great, sounds great. Couldn't use it the first day I got it (Saturday) as it went into one of these never ending restart cycle loops. Technical support at JL were not helpful, their lack of knowledge was embarrassing, they wouldn't listen to my description of the problem, instead they decided what it was, and kept telling me over and over again to hold the on/off switch in - it doesn't have a press-in on/off switch but a sliding switch instead which you can't press. On the 5th repeated cycle they gave up and said they would need to send an engineer to carry out a repair that was 4 days later. A replacement wouldn't arrive until the follwoing Saturday. Overnight, I searched and trawled the internet, until finally. Folks this is so important this next bit and save you so much stress and time. When you first switch the TV on, it takes you through a setup procedure, mixed with Sony credentials and Google TV credentials. WARNING: The TV doesn't like hanging in the user login screen into google account (I didn't have one, so had to set one up on the laptop, whilst the TV was waiting) This is quite an innocent event - I wasn't doing anything wrong or being foolish. When I returned to the TV, screen timed out and then the TV went into this never ending reset loop and wouldn't come out of it) So, do you blame SONY TV or Google TV? You'd never guess it was Google TV that was causing the problem, so I tapped in GOOGLE TV ON SETUP LOOP - and hey presto - a proper reset procedure that worked!! With the TV ON: 1. Press Help Button 5 Times (slowly), the TV will then enter into the Contact & support Page 2. Press these buttons in the following order (fast): RED, 4,3,5,7,PLAY. 3. The TV will be rebooted and Factory data reset is performed automatically. 4. Redo the setup, this time I avoided Google TV, and set that up separately. Its was a shame that JL technical couldn't get their act into gear and also a great shame that SONY doesn't put this in their manuals. If Sony officials vet and read these reviews, perhaps they should include this procedure in their bumph, seriously, I am not kidding. Apart from this, we love the TV, it's more than we wanted, very impressed, my wife was very impressed with me for finding the info myself.

I have had the tv for two weeks. Every evening I have to try to adjust the picture settings (of which there are many!) to get a natural picture. The picture is so dark, the colours are lurid and human faces have a slight yellow tinge. I just can't get a natural looking picture. My previous flatscreen panasonic tv which lasted 20 years had a natural looking picture straight out of the box and the picture settings never needed adjusting in all of the time I had it.This is very disappointing as I had high hopes for the new tv. It is also difficult to completely power off the tv by the main on/off button as the tv goes into standby and is able to be switched back on using the remote control proving that has not completely powered down

Chose becasue of advanced picture and audio technology. Useability sadly not up to the technology. Poor menu design and installation design not the best.

I bought this recently to replace the second TV in the Kitchen, i must say i was immediately impressed with the features that it has and the Google TV bringing everything together Combined with a wall mount bracket the unti floats on the wall emittng great sound quality, the preset picture settings arent quite to my liking but these are easily change for your own viewing preferences. A great piece of kit im loving it!!

I bought this to replace my main TV and I am very impressed. The picture is fantastic, both in standard and HD. Movies are amazing and a huge step up from my previous tv. The sound is great for a flat tv, and I am not sure I even need to buy a separate soundbar. The remote and tv navigation are very easy to use and responsive, integrating all the various apps seamlessly into google TV. I am still learning all the various features. I have no regrets at all with my purchase and cannot recommend this TV highly enough.

This 48 inch Sony replaced a curved Samsung ..i already have similar Sony Bravia in another location ..unlike the 55inch one this 48inch was much easier to assemble as the stand was much more simple to put together..sounds a minor issue but with the 55 inch the guys from curry’s first time round were unable to fix the twin legs in the upright position and left and a second time came round a week later and they too were stressed by lack of proper instructions..but this set was easy and took just a few minutes ..and I assembled and set up this tv on my own.l adopted the same set up,routine with this 48 as per my 55 ..namely not to set it up as a google tv but just as a Sony one..as I gather from other people’s reviews of the 55 inch if set up under google format it’s a hassle every time,switching on as google come up..when people just want their tv programme..it’s one reason why I ditched Samsung ..they don’t give you any option as my old tv was switched to their own in house channel set up via an update and I was given no say in this and it’s irreversible..so,full marks to Sony.. As regards the quality of the tv..picture is excellent..sound is fine given flat screen..the remote is fine..it’s a very very user friendly tv functionally ..and I liked the first one so much I got,this too

I have had the TV and a sound bar about 3 weeks. I use Freesat, Apple TV and a DVD player, mostly Apple TV. I find the menu screens very difficult to navigate and the help information poor. It is taking a long time to get used to. The picture and sound quality is very good. I shall keep working on it.

TV is fine ,picture is good. Unfortunately the instruction manual is only on line which is making it very difficult to operate

I would have given it five stars except for the fact that there is no way, apparently, to increase the bass sound level. It is a shame because we really like the picture this Bravia provides. It is even better than our former Bravia, which we loved for 12 years.

Superb picture, fantastic sound. YouView is not as good as freeview plus, or even Freesat through the old box, but it does the basics okay. Main problem with it is the non existent operating instructions. One of the remotes doesn't exist on the Sony website, yet it is available for sale through Amazon, not even a button diagram for it. I couldn't figure out how you record to a usb until I plugged in some satellite cables at the back, which by the way according to the manuals online the television doesn't have. Then the onscreen menus changed to ask me if I wanted to set a reminder, or record the program I had selected. Before plugging the cables in it just offered the reminder alarm bit, and even though I have now removed the satellite cables I still have the menus. The help menus have more instructions on how to operate and set up the optional equipment which I haven't bought than the tv which I have actually purchased. The bits I have gleaned from hours of trawling through years of forums, has enhanced my appreciation of the product, but I would rather enjoy watching the television than spending hours trying to find out how to operate it. To those who say it's a television and they're all the same, I bought this set because it has lots of features the cheaper sets don't have and I would like to use them if I want to, if you don't want the features buy a cheaper set. Or buy this one and when you figure out how to access the features please let me know. There's lots of others much more technically minded on the forums that also want answers to what are basic questions about its operation who also would like to know, so they can help people like me out. It's my second Sony television the last one had a real instruction book and was great.

Very pleased but I have been trying to find out how to set the screen saver to come on after 5mins but can't find the appropriate settings the Sony help does not match our tv XR-48A90K please help if you can. Thank you Paul

Don't bother looking at any other Manufacturer or waste your time on reading reviews, buy this T.V. and just watch an amazing picture and with great sound.
