No sound is output from the wireless subwoofer
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
If you have the HT-RT5 and no sound is output from the surround speaker, the following instructions are the same as for the subwoofer.
- Verify that the subwoofer is turned on.
- On the remote control, press the SW + (subwoofer volume) button to turn up the volume of the subwoofer.
- Check the status of the subwoofer LED indicator.

Unplug the AC power cord of the subwoofer, and then plug it in again after one minute. Right after turning on the subwoofer, set the link settings between the unit and the subwoofer again.
- If the issue still occurs:

Reset the audio system.
Here are some examples on how to do the reset:
- HT-ST9 / RT5 / NT3 / XT3:
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Setup.
- Select resetting.
- Select Reset to Factory Default Settings.
- Select All Settings.
- Select Start.
- HT-CT780 / CT380:
- Press the MENU button.
- Select SYSTEM.
- Select SYS.RST.
- When START appears on the Soundbar display, press ENTER.
- When RESET disappears, unplug the AC power cord, then plug it back in.
- Perform Easy setup.
- Set the link settings between the unit and the subwoofer again.
Sound is low from the wireless subwoofer
The subwoofer is a speaker for playing bass sound. Sound from the subwoofer may be hard to hear when the input source has less bass sound, such as a TV broadcast. Follow these steps to determine if the issue is with the source input or the subwoofer and check the sound after each step.
- Adjust the volume of the subwoofer. To turn up the volume, press the SW + (subwoofer volume) button on the remote control.
- When Night mode is set to ON, set it to OFF. For additional details, check the product manual.
- Try to playback the test tone or the internal sample music to verify whether sound is coming out of the subwoofer.
- For HT-X9000F / XF9000 / Z9F / ZF9 models:
- On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
- Select Setup.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Select Speaker Settings.
- Select Manual Speaker Settings.
- Select Test Tone, and then select On.
- To end the Test tone, select Off.
- For models other than the above:
- On the sound bar, press the
INPUT button for five seconds to play back the pre-installed sample music. - Press the
INPUT button again to end the playback of the pre-installed sample music and return it to its former state.
