Sony and Moshcam bring music to the masses through IPTV
Australian internet video channel Moshcam launches exclusively on BRAVIA Internet Video
Sydney - 2 September, 2010 - Can't make your favourite band's gig or want to re-live the greatest music moments with friends? Sit front row at music concerts right in your lounge room, with Moshcam taking centre stage thanks to an exclusive IPTV partnership with Sony for its BRAVIA Internet Video service.

Created by music fans for music fans, Moshcam is an Australian internet video channel that gives you a VIP pass to enjoy full length concerts filmed live in Sydney by the best international and local acts. As most of the concerts are not available on DVD, Moshcam is one of the only places to see and hear your favourite bands perform. The best part? All the gigs are available to you on demand, anytime you want.

Sony Australia is the first company to launch an IPTV service that delivers Moshcam content direct to TVs and other home entertainment devices. Owners of BRAVIA TVs, Sony Blu-ray players and Sony Blu-ray home theatre systems can now enjoy quality live music concerts, as well as other exclusive content, from the comfort and convenience of their lounge room. Moshcam, along with over 20 other IPTV channels, can be simply accessed via the XrossMediaBar interface on Sony's IPTV-enabled products.

"Moshcam has always been ahead of the broadband curve, filming concerts in broadcast quality since its inception," said Paul Hannigan, Music Director of Moshcam. “With our Sony IPTV partnership, users can now experience their favourite artists' gigs free and on demand from the comfort of their lounge room. This is an absolute win for music fans and a win for the artists, who are reaching new audiences through an exciting new platform. As an industry leader, Sony is the perfect partner to enable TV viewers to enjoy Moshcam's content."

“Sony is focused on providing the widest range of IPTV channels on BRAVIA Internet Video and our partnership with Moshcam allows us to deliver Australian music fans live concerts and exclusive footage of their favourite artists,” said Paul Colley, Technology Communications Manager, Sony Australia. “The Moshcam channel takes full advantage of both the fantastic visual and audio quality that Sony products are known for. Watching the gigs in your lounge room is almost as good as being there in person.”

Moshcam has the world's largest and most comprehensive music library with over 800 full length gigs, 8,000 individual tracks and 900 hours of content. Whether you're a Jane's Addiction fan, John Butler Trio devotee or hungry for tunes from Jet, there's something to satisfy every musical taste.

Moshcam works closely with major and independent record labels and leading live music venues in Australia to bring a very real and engaging music experience to fans.

The Moshcam channel is available exclusively on Sony's BRAVIA Internet Video platform in Australia and New Zealand. Additional countries launching Moshcam via Sony will also be announced shortly, providing even more exposure for Australian music.
